Arctic Flower is a mixed media 89cm diameter Artwork. It is freely rotable and the largest piece of the series "NEXUS OF THOUGHTS". It contains the poem "Transplanted" by Emily Dickinson.

Transplanted is a poem about displacement and discovery — about what happens when a thing shaped by extreme conditions wanders into an entirely different world.

The words are sealed beneath the resin in sequence, present and legible on close inspection, but requiring the right angle and the right light. Much like Dickinson's open-ended question: you have to look with patience, and from the right place, before something reveals itself...and even then, what you find is yours to make sense of.

The colour moves from deep blue to transparent towards the surface — the quality of polar water, ice in thaw, light entering from above. What is carried underneath remains visible, but only if you lean in.

The circular format invites rotation. A turn reveals a different perspective, a different depth, a different way in. The flower wandered down the latitudes without a map. There are paths where they don't seem to exist at first.

The series NEXUS OF THOUGHTS combines different inspirational thoughts into a series of 7 images. The series was also displayed at ART KARLSRUHE.
